C.T. Retsen is the name.
Back when I was a wee little youngster, I used to lock myself in my room and scribble book-length (in my mind, at least) stories, staple them together, and share them with everyone in my family. Now, I have been blessed with Microsoft Word, so my writings are a bit more legible.
Over the years, stories of superheroes, lost loved ones, and historic adventures have shaped me into the person I am today. The reason I write is not to hopefully become a big best-selling millionaire (although, that’d be nice), but instead to use my own creativity to give people what I have survived on all these years: imaginary escapes that grow with you.
When I graduated from Rutgers University in 2018, I thought I would dive into the publishing industry as a book editor. But as life ebbed and weaved, I found myself down a new road: teaching. I’ve never really seen myself in the public school system, so I didn’t pursue a teaching certificate in college. However, tutoring has given me the opportunity to share my experiences with younger generations.
Writing is definitely my passion, but my purpose is to help others grow and succeed.
I’m excited to grow this site into something that will help many people who, like me, have struggled with analyzing complex narratives. But despite my past challenges, I now absolutely love diving into the grit of stories!
Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions. Also, I’m always down for review debates and causal conversation. Thanks for stopping by, and I look forward to chasing life’s chapters with you.
